Informal institutions related to the functioning of the judiciary have so far escaped academic interest and research. The INFINITY project represents the very first conceptualization and critical analysis of key informal institutions emerging in the justice system.

JUSTIN in media: A unique success in the Czech Republic: three prestigious ERC grants to MU scientists

For David Kosař, this is the second ERC-supported project. Five years ago it was a Starting grant thanks to which Kosař founded, at the Faculty of Law, the Judicial Studies Institute and focused on the study of the influence of judicial self-governance bodies on the selection of judges in Europe. The new grant will allow him and his colleagues to focus on new issues related to the judiciary.
