JUSTIN Working Paper Series & Commentaries

The JUSTIN Working Papers Series showcases research from the Judicial Studies Institute at Masaryk University. Dating back to 2014 (at that time as a MUNI Law WP), our series focuses on the multifaceted world of domestic courts, international tribunals, and the diverse entities involved in court administration. We are proud to feature the work of our esteemed JUSTIN members, alongside contributions from external scholars and practitioners.

Our series embraces a wide range of topics and methodologies, reflecting the dynamic nature of judicial studies. We welcome submissions that examine the intricacies of judicial self-governance such as the evolving role of judicial councils, as well as various aspects of judicial decision-making, and their implications for the legal landscape. Our publications delve into comparative analyses, historical perspectives, theoretical frameworks, and empirical studies, exploring the judiciary's dynamic interplay with law, politics, and society.

In extending our series to include works from outside the JUSTIN membership, we aim to enrich our discourse with diverse perspectives and deepen our collective understanding of the judiciary's role in law, politics, and society. We welcome submissions that offer thoughtful analysis, challenge existing paradigms, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on judicial matters.
